Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026

Chantilly Lace runs this website and our shop at 1177 Wilmette Avenue in Wilmette, Illinois. This policy explains what information the website collects and how we use it.

What we collect

  • When you sign up for News Flashes: your email address, and your name if you give it.

  • When you buy a gift certificate: your name, email address, billing details and the recipient details you give us. Our payment processor handles your card; we never see or store your full card number.

  • When you book a fitting: Acuity Scheduling collects the name, contact details and notes you enter for your appointment.

  • When you call, text or email us: whatever you choose to share.

  • When you browse: Squarespace, which hosts this site, and Google Analytics record standard visit information, such as the pages you view, the site that sent you, your device and browser, and your approximate location. They use cookies to do this.

How we use it

  • To send the News Flashes you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

  • To process gift certificate orders and get each gift to its recipient.

  • To schedule and prepare for your appointment.

  • To answer your questions.

  • To see how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that run our site and shop: Squarespace (website, newsletter and checkout), our payment processor, Acuity Scheduling (appointments) and Google Analytics (site statistics). Each handles your information under its own privacy policy. We don't sell your personal information. We may disclose information when the law requires it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. Squarespace uses them to run the site and checkout, and Google Analytics uses them to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, though checkout may not.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from News Flashes with the link in any email.

  • Ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you: call or text 847-256-8077, or ask us in the shop.

  • Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

When we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
